Gadget Publishing

I swear sometimes that I'm the last long-term homebrewer that still bottles beer instead of kegging it. Bottling is quite a bit more work, but it's easier to store and share ... not to mention cheaper. So, I do what I can to make it as easy as possible.

Zymurgy is the journal of the American Homebrewers Association. Every year they publish a "gadgets" issue, where they ask members to share the homemade tools they use to brew.

I submitted one of my bottling gadgets this year, and they chose it to publish along with 15 others (#13, on the right):

There's no prize or award, just bragging rights for having your idea selected to share with the rest of the members.

Maybe there are more brewers that bottle at home than I think.
